Softball Set to Open Conference Play at Nicholls

Boasting a 14-8 record, the Jacks look to begin SLC play against the 10-9 Colonels.
NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin softball team will travel to Thibodaux to open their conference slate against the Nicholls Colonels.
LAST TIME OUT
• SFA moves to 14-8 on the year entering conference play this weekend.
• Ellie Vance led the team with two hits and two stolen bases.
• Crimson Bryant pitched 5.1 innings allowed two runs and four strikeouts.
• Amelia Hatthorn and Kai Hudson came on in relief.
SCOUTING NICHOLLS
• Nicholls enters the series with a 10-9 record and are coming off a midweek loss to South Alabama, 4-1.
• Claire Sisco and Erin Krause are both hitting over .400 with Sisco leading the team at .433 and Krause at .411.
• Krause also leads the team with 15 RBIs followed closely by Reagan Heflin who has 14 RBIs.
• Molly Yoo leads the Nicholls staff with a 2.58 ERA, 42 strikeouts, and 59.2 innings of work.
• Averi Paden follows Yoo with a 3.78 ERA and 21 strikeouts.
BOMBS AWAY
• The Jacks have hit 16 home runs this season.
• Malia Jones leads the team with six.
• Ella Hill is second on the team with four, three of which she hit during the first day of the Roadrunner Classic.
• Kara Pride and Adelyn Becerra each have two while Lilly Bean and Kaylee Paul each have one.
PITCHING ON LOCKDOWN
• The staff for SFA holds a 2.41 ERA this season, led by freshman, Kai Hudson with a 0.98 ERA.
• Crimson Bryant is the strikeout queen with 57 on the season including 14 in her Lumberjack debut after transferring from UT Tyler. Bryant leads the team with 45.1 innings pitched.
• Amelia Hatthorn leads the Jacks with 14 appearances and a 3-1 record in 29.0 innings of work.
