NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks Volleyball team returns home after a lengthy four-game road trip that saw them go a perfect 4-0.
Ladyjacks at a Glance:
Stephen F. Austin returns home and will be playing their first home game in nearly two weeks. The Ladyjacks recent road schedule took them to Utah for a pair of games before a couple in-state games against UTA and UTRGV. In their most recent match against UTA on Monday night, the Ladyjacks defeated the Mavericks 3-1 and led in points (78-63), aces (9-7), assists (56-47), hitting percentage (.247-.206), kills (59-50), and blocks (10-6).
Four Ladyjacks recorded double-digit kills against the Mavericks highlighted by Ielan Bradley who led the team with 13. Camryn Hill recorded her fourth double-double on the season as she finished second on the team with 11 kills while adding 10 digs, also good for second on the team. Kyanna Creecy continues to make huge contributions to the Ladyjacks lineup as she tied with Izabella Ortiz for third on the team in kills with 10, which was a new career-high for the freshman. Jayden Flynn and Maddy Bourque continue to provide unparalleled consistency for the 'Jacks as Flynn dished out 31 assists against the Mavericks while Bourque tacked on another 20. Haley Hoang continues her dominant defensive season as she led the team with 14 digs. Meanwhile, Izabella Ortiz continues to torment opposing offenses as she led the team with six blocks while the dynamic freshman duo of Kyanna Creecy and Tanishua Joseph recorded four and three blocks respectively.
The Ladyjacks continue their torrent play in conference play as they are not only on a 12-game win streak but are a perfect 12-0 in conference play. This 12-game win streak has skyrocketed the 'Jacks to a 23-3 overall record and they are a perfect 12-0 at home entering this match against Seattle. This win streak has not gone unnoticed as the Ladyjacks moved up six spots in the most recent RPI ranking and currently rank at no. 46. SFA is the only WAC school in the top 100 and currently they rank above a list of schools that include Washington, Georgia, and Iowa State. In addition to the boost in RPI ranking, the 'Jacks rank second in the nation in Total Team Blocks with 252 on the season, just one block behind TCU for the top spot in the nation. Izabella Ortiz has played a massive role in that ranking as she ranks seventh in the nation with 123 blocks on the season. Colgate's 33 home game win streak was snapped earlier this season, which now leaves SFA and their 26 straight wins at the Pressure Cooker as the longest home win streak in the nation.

The Seattle University Redhawks start a short two-game road stint in Nacogdoches. Seattle is coming to the Pressure Cooker on the heels of an come-from-behind victory against the ACU Wildcats that saw Seattle grab a 3-2 win. In the match against ACU, the Redhawks recorded a WAC season high, as well as set a new program record with 21 total team blocks. Tatum Chase led the way for the Redhawks against ACU as she had an impressive 11 blocks against the Wildcats. In the match against ACU, the Redhawks led in hitting percentage (.225-.198), aces (10-7), and blocks (21-4). Arianna Bilby and Elif Teksoy lead the way for Seattle offensively as Bilby leads with 298 kills and Teksoy has 766 assists. Katlyn Sipes leads with 253 digs on the defensive side while Marley Hardgrave, who recorded seven blocks against ACU, has 69 blocks on the season. The Redhawks carry a 7-16 overall record, a 2-10 conference record, and a 3-8 away record into this match with SFA.
