
Ladyjacks Dismantle Redhawks and Extend Home Win Streak to 27

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- Stephen F. Austin defeated Seattle University 3-0 Thursday night. SFA earned their 13th conference win and remain undefeated in WAC play.
In their first match back in the Pressure Cooker in almost a month, the 'Jacks came out on fire in front of the home crowd as they jumped out to a 5-1 lead. SFA continued to hold the lead and went on a 6-0 run to extend the lead to 18-9. The 'Jacks won the last five points as they cruised to a 25-12 first set victory. SFA did not take their foot off the gas in the second set as they had two separate three-point runs as they jumped out to a 6-2 lead. The Ladyjacks continued to dominate the second set as they cruised to a twelve-point second set victory, 25-13. The offense for the 'Jacks continued to fire on all cylinders in the third set where they began on a 5-0 run and then extended the lead to 8-2. Later in the set, SFA went on three separate three-point runs to give the 'Jacks a 24-15 lead. Seattle went on a four-point run before SFA secured the final point of the match, 25-19. SFA's final six kills were scored by the dynamic freshman duo of Tanishua Joseph and Kyanna Creecy. The 'Jacks won their 27th consecutive match in Shelton Gym and currently sport the best home winning-streak in the country.
SFA led Seattle in points (59-30), kills, (42-24), aces (11-2), blocks (6-4), assists (39-22), digs (53-36), and hitting percentage (.337-.122). Senior Ielan Bradley once again led this high-powered offense with 13 kills, followed by Creecy who recorded seven. Jayden Flynn led the team with 20 assists followed by Maddy Bourque who recorded 15. The 'Jacks continue to dominate at the net as Bradley led the team with four blocks, followed by Creecy who recorded three. Camryn Hill led the team with 16 digs, followed by Haley Hoang who recorded 12.
The Ladyjacks will host Utah Valley on Saturday, November 4th at 12:00 p.m. for Senior Day.
