Ladyjacks Statistical Analysis
Jordan Harrison was named WAC Freshman of the Week for the fourth time in her young career, making a name for herself for years to come. Harrison leads the team in three-point percentage with 41.3% (minimum 50 attempts). She also leads the team in free-throw percentage with 82.7%, assists with 82, and steals with 44. She has scored double-digit points in nine out of her last ten games.
The Ladyjacks are third in the conference, one of three teams with one loss or less in conference matchups. The 'Jacks are riding on a two-game winning streak and are dominant at their home court with a 7-1 record in Nacogdoches.
The Ladyjacks are currently ranked top 20 in the nation in the following statistics: assists per game (9th), field goal percentage (8th), rebound margin (15th), scoring margin (10th), scoring offense (20th), steals per game (12th), and three-point percentage (11th). All of which are ranked first in the conference, besides steals per game which is second in the conference.
A Look at the Wolverines
The Wolverines sit tied at the bottom of the WAC standings at 1-5 in conference matchups and a 4-13 overall record. Ironically, their lone conference win was against Grand Canyon, which is GCU's only loss in conference action. Then of course, SFA's only conference loss came at the hands of GCU.
Utah Valley is currently on a five-game losing streak and doesn't have a road win this season in eight occasions.
Jaeden Brown is the star player for the Wolverines, playing a significant role on both offense and defense. Brown leads the team with a 48.6% field goal percentage, 75.5% free-throw percentage, 14.6 points per game, and 121 total rebounds. What makes Brown a threat is her ability to block opposing shots. She makes up 31 of the team's 47 total blocks. Her 2.38 blocks per game leads the conference and is 12th in the nation.
Last Match Against the Wolverines: SFA Advances to WAC Championship Game
No. 1 seed Stephen F. Austin routed No. 4 seed Utah Valley 68-42 and advanced the 2022 WAC Championship Game.
The Ladyjacks led 27-26 at halftime and utilized a second-half offensive surge to put away the Wolverines. SFA outscored UVU 41-16 in the third and fourth quarters and converted 45.5 percent (15-for-33) of its shot attempts.
Zya Nugent scored a game-high 25 points on 9-for-14 shooting from the floor. Stephanie Visscher and Brianna Mitchell each scored 14 points. Mitchell also finished with a game-high five steals.
Aiyanna Johnson helped out with eight points and six rebounds.
SFA limited their mistakes and turned the ball over just five times. The Ladyjacks dialed the pressure up defensively scored 30 points off 26 forced turnovers.
As a team, SFA shot 40.3 percent (27-for-67) from the field.

Stephen F. Austin defeated Seattle University, 86-57 Saturday afternoon. SFA improves to 14-3 (4-1) while SU falls to 1-14 (1-4).
Seattle jumped out to a 6-2 lead in the first couple of minutes of the first quarter. SFA took the lead a couple of minutes later and extended their lead to 19-12 at the end of the first. The Ladyjacks grew their lead to double digits with 3:25 left in the first half and had almost a 20-point lead going into halftime, 41-22. The third quarter was more of the same for SFA as they hovered around a 20-point lead most of the third quarter. The Ladyjacks went into the fourth quarter holding a 22-point lead, 59-37. SFA continued to soar past the Redhawks in the fourth quarter as their lead extended to 31 points with 7:50 left in the game.
SFA led SU in several stat categories including points in the paint (40-36), points off turnovers (19-11), fast break points (16-4), bench points (16-15), field goal percentage (50.8-36.1), and three-point percentage (41.7-12.5). Tyler McCliment-Call led the team with 17 points, which ties her season high. Angel Scott followed with 14 points of her own. Jordan Harrison and Aiyana Johnsonalso scored 10 points against the Redhawks. Avery Brittingham led SFA with 10 rebounds and was one point off a double-double.
