Nacogdoches technology company becomes first-ever jersey sponsor of Ladyjack Basketball
NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Stephen F. Austin Athletics and SFA women's basketball announce a new sponsorship with Etech Global Services of Nacogdoches. The multi-year agreement coordinated by Learfield's Lumberjack Sports Properties will feature official Etech branding on the uniforms of SFA women's basketball.
"Etech has been an invaluable partner to Stephen F. Austin and the Nacogdoches community for nearly 25 years, investing not only through financial support, but by creating opportunities for our students through mentorship, internships, and meaningful careers," stated Michael McBroom, Vice President and Director of Athletics.
The announcement extends Etech's original agreement with SFA Athletics and Lumberjack Sports Properties through the 2030-31 season and makes the Nacogdoches-based tech company the presenting sponsor of SFA women's basketball; the first company to ever be featured on a jersey patch in department history.
"This partnership is about far more than putting our name on a basketball program. It is about investing in young women who are preparing to become tomorrow's leaders in business, education, and our communities," remarked Etech CEO, Matt Rocco.
"Etech has proudly partnered with Stephen F. Austin State University for more than two decades because we believe in the incredible talent, character, and work ethic that this University develops. More than 3,000 SFA students have worked at Etech, over 200 alumni are part of our team today, and many now serve in leadership roles across our global organization. Our relationship with SFA has created a lasting impact for both organizations."
Etech's support has impacted SFA Athletics in multiple areas from facilities and development to NIL and corporate sponsorships.
Rocco added, "Becoming the first-ever Presenting Sponsor of Ladyjack Basketball is a tremendous honor and an important milestone in the history of SFA Athletics. The Ladyjacks have built one of the premier women's basketball traditions in the country through excellence, discipline, resilience, and a commitment to winning the right way. Those are values we deeply admire because they closely reflect Etech's own culture. We are excited to stand alongside Coach Bishop, the student-athletes, and the entire SFA community as they continue building upon that remarkable legacy. We believe the best teams bring people together, inspire future generations, and make a positive difference far beyond the scoreboard. That is exactly what the Ladyjacks have done for decades, and we are proud to help write the next chapter of this incredible story."
McBroom added, "We are incredibly grateful to Matt Rocco for his vision, his genuine love for this community, and his unwavering belief in the value of college athletics and higher education. As the first jersey logo sponsor in our history, Etech is making another statement about its commitment to SFA and our student-athletes. We are proud to continue this longstanding partnership and excited to see the Etech brand alongside the SFA brand as we build on the tradition and future of Ladyjack Basketball."
The NCAA approved jersey patch sponsorships on January 23, 2026, with the rule officially taking effect on August 1, 2026.
"Matt Rocco and the Etech team have built a partnership with SFA that has continued to grow because it's rooted in a genuine commitment to the university, its student-athletes and the community it serves," said David Warner, General Manager of Lumberjacks Sports Properties. "We're proud to help cultivate partnerships that evolve naturally over time, creating new opportunities while strengthening the connection between great organizations."
