Ladyjacks Reveal 2026 Soccer Schedule

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The 17-time conference champion Stephen F. Austin women's soccer team announced the complete schedule for the upcoming 2026 season on Thursday, May 28.
PRESEASON PLANS
SFA soccer will host the Purple & White game at the Chopping Block on Saturday, August 1, at 6:00 p.m., before traveling to Sam Houston for a preseason exhibition with the Bearkats on August 8 at 7:00 p.m.
HOME OPENER
The Ladyjacks open the season against Sul Ross in the season opener on Thursday, August 13, at 11:00 a.m. in Nacogdoches. This match marks the first meeting between the two programs. SFA will host its twelfth season opener in program history and owns a 7-2-2 record in home-site season openers.
NON-CONFERENCE HOME SLATES
Tulsa makes its return trip to Nacogdoches after hosting the Ladyjacks during the 2025 season. The Golden Hurricane claimed a 3-2 victory over SFA last season, moving the Ladyjacks to 2-4-1 all-time against Tulsa.
To close out August, SFA welcomes Sun Belt Conference newcomer Louisiana Tech for a 6:00 p.m. matchup. The Ladyjacks own a perfect 3-0 record against the Bulldogs at the Chopping Block, with the last meeting in Nacogdoches coming 16 years ago when SFA earned a 2-1 victory in August of 2010.
SFA welcomes fans for a Sunday Senior Day match to close out the non-conference home slate. The Ladyjacks will face off against Jackson State University on September 13 at 1:00 p.m. in the third matchup between the two. The Jacks and Tigers come face-to-face for the first time since the 2012 season, when the Ladyjacks took an 8-0 victory at the Chopping Block. In the series, SFA has outscored the Tigers 19-0 across the first two meetings and will look to extend its third-longest active win streak with a shutout.
ON THE ROAD AGAIN
SFA travels to Jonesboro for a matchup against Arkansas State on August 27. The Ladyjacks hold a 4-0-1 advantage in the all-time series, with the first draw between the two programs coming last season in a 1-1 final. SFA is 2-0-1 on the road against the Red Wolves and has outscored Arkansas State 9-3 in the series.
To open the month of September, the Ladyjacks head down I-20 to Monroe for a matchup against ULM on September 3. SFA and ULM meet again after an 11-year hiatus, with the last meeting in 2015 ending in a 1-0 shutout victory for the Ladyjacks. The programs met 13 times from 1999 to 2015, with SFA leading the all-time series 9-3-2.
The Ladyjacks close out non-conference road play with a trip to Texas Southern. The programs will meet for the fourth time in series history, with SFA holding a perfect 3-0 record in matchups spanning from 2010 to 2019. The Ladyjacks have outscored the Tigers 13-0 in the series and own a 1-0 mark in Houston.
POWER-4 TILTS
SFA will face two Power-4 opponents during the 2026 season. On August 16, the Ladyjacks will ride into Stillwater to face off against Oklahoma State. OSU is 6-0 against the Ladyjacks. The Cowgirls' last victory was in the 2024 season, a 4-0 shutout. In 2022 and 2023, the Jacks were blanked in a 5-0 and 4-0 home-and-home series.
The Ladyjacks continue Power-4 action with a trip to College Station for a 7:00 p.m. matchup against Texas A&M on September 6 in a rematch from the 2025 season. The two programs battled to a scoreless draw last season as SFA recorded a program milestone by shutting out back-to-back Power-4 opponents in the same season. The result moved the series record to 0-5-1 and marked the first time the Ladyjacks held the Aggies scoreless. The 2026 meeting will also mark the first back-to-back meetings between the two programs and the sixth matchup played in College Station.
SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE ROAD TESTS
The Ladyjacks face five Southland Conference opponents on the road during the 2026 season. SFA opens conference play with a trip to McNeese on September 24. During the 2025 season, the Ladyjacks captured their 30th all-time victory over McNeese in a 4-0 shutout, marking the most wins SFA has recorded against a current Southland Conference Opponent. On October 4, SFA heads to Southeast Texas for a rematch of the 2025 Southland Conference Tournament Championship against HCU. The two programs battled through overtime in last season's title match before the Huskies rallied past the Ladyjacks in a 1-0 golden-goal finish.
The Ladyjacks return to Louisiana on October 8 for a matchup with Nicholls. Since 2015, the two programs have traded shutout victories, with the trend continuing in 2025 when SFA earned a 2-0 victory. The Ladyjacks have claimed six of the eight shutout wins during that span.
To close out October, SFA travels to South Texas for a late-season matchup at UTRGV on October 22. The Ladyjacks and Vaqueros meet for the sixth time in series history, with SFA holding an unbeaten mark in the series and looking to build on last season's 1-0 shutout victory at the Chopping Block.
SFA closes the regular season with a Thursday night matchup against East Texas A&M on November 5 in Commerce. The Lions extended their series advantage to 4-2 following a 1-0 victory in Nacogdoches during the 2025 season.

SFA and the Islanders met twice during the 2025 season, with the Ladyjacks earning a 3-1 road victory in Corpus Christi before meeting again in the opening round of the 2025 Southland Conference Tournament. The two sides battled late into the night before SFA advanced in a 4-2 shootout victory. The postseason matchup marked the first time the two programs met multiple times in a single season.
The 2025 Southland Conference Regular Season Champions, Northwestern State, visit Nacogdoches on September 27. The Ladyjacks have recorded 20 shutout victories against the Lady Demons, the most SFA has against any opponent, while both programs have combined for 27 shutouts throughout the series. Last season's matchup ended in a 0-0 draw that was declared final after 75 minutes due to weather conditions. The rivalry dates back to 1996, when SFA earned a 6-1 victory in the first meeting between the programs, one of 23 wins the Ladyjacks have recorded against Northwestern State.

The Ladyjacks and Cardinals played to a 1-1 draw during the regular season in 2025 before meeting again in the second round of the Southland Conference Tournament. Following the Lamar matchup, the Ladyjacks host Southeastern Louisiana on October 15 at 7:00 p.m. SFA has found success against the Lions in Nacogdoches, posting a 14-2-3 record at the Chopping Block. In the most recent meeting in Nacogdoches during the 2024 season, the Ladyjacks earned a 2-0 shutout victory.
SFA closes out its Southland Conference home slate on November 1 against UIW. The Ladyjacks hold a 7-3-1 advantage in the all-time series and previously carried a seven-match winning streak over the Cardinals from 2014 through 2021 before UIW claimed a 1-0 victory during SFA's 2024 season. Last season, the two programs played to a 1-1 draw in San Antonio as both sides split points late in conference play.
