'Jacks Drop Game Two Against Tarleton

The Lumberjacks offense started hot once again. After Ben Hoshizaki reached on an error to begin the game, Cooper Schneider would connect on his first home run of the year to put SFA up 2-0. In the bottom of the opening frame, Tarleton would even it back up with two runs of their own.
The next two innings went by quickly, as neither offense could produce any runs. In the bottom half of the fourth inning, Tarleton would take their first lead of the game, scoring two runs to put them up 4-2.
SFA would quickly respond, however. After Cooper Schneider singled with two outs, Dante Turgeon would reach on an error and advance Schneider to third, setting up Mark Henning. Henning would come through, smoking a double into the left-center field gap to score Schneider and cut Tarleton's lead to 4-3.
SFA would regain the lead in the top of the sixth courtesy of RBI doubles by Dylan Hummel and Isaiah Garnica, scoring Kevin Duran, Cermodrick Bland, and Garnica. SFA held a 6-4 lead after five and a half innings. However, the lead was short-lived as Tarleton scored another two runs in the bottom of the inning to tie it back up at 6.
SFA would jump back into the lead two innings later. After Ben Hoshizaki got to second on a single and a fielding error, Cooper Schneider would continue his big day with an RBI single to right field, scoring Hoskizaki and giving the 'Jacks a 7-6 lead.
Unfortunately, Tarleton would not be denied. The Texans exploded for eight runs in the bottom of the eighth and held a commanding 14-7 lead going into the last inning. Cermodrick Bland did his best to give SFA a spark, smoking his first home run of the year to right field, but it wasn't enough as the Lumberjacks lost game two to Tarleton, 14-8.
Kadin Munson (0-1) took the loss, while Ryan Beaird (1-3) notched the win.
