Lamar advances to SLC Championship Series with 11-0 win in 7
BEAUMONT, Texas – Stephen F. Austin saw its 2026 campaign come to a close on Sunday afternoon inside Vincent-Beck Stadium as host Lamar earned an 11-0 seven-inning run rule victory to advance to next week's Southland Conference Tournament Championship series.
The Cardinals plated two runs in the second inning, three runs in the third and a single run in the fourth to lead 6-0 through 3.5 frames of action. LU manufactured a six-run fifth inning to distance themselves from the Jacks and in the process activate the run-rule.
Dylan Mulcahy went 2.0 innings allowing six hits and five runs in a starting role, before giving way to five relief arms.
Lamar took advantage of three SFA errors on Sunday and the Jacks stranded the bases loaded twice: with one out in the second and with two gone in the sixth.
