STEPHENVILLE, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks (9-15, 2-7) lost the final game of their three-game series against the Tarleton State Texans (11-14, 0-0) this afternoon, 8-3.
Neither team could score any runs in the first, but in the second, Tarleton jumped out to an early 2-0 lead with two runs. The 'Jacks would quickly respond. After Owen Hooper and Isaiah Garnica singled to lead off the inning, Cermodrick Bland would reach on an error to load the bases. Two batters later, Cooper Schneider would continue his great weekend with a two-RBI single, scoring both Bland and Garnica, tying the game at two.
