
Ladyjacks Sign Four for the 2026 Season

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin volleyball program is excited to announce the signing of four student-athletes for the 2026 season.
Avery Koonsen: 6-0, Outside Hitter
Avery currently attends Dawson High School and plays club volleyball for Houston Stellar. She was named Newcomer of the Year, MVP and was named to the First Team All-Greater Houston 6A team, First Team All-District, and All-State 6A. Throughout her high school career she has recorded over 1,000 kills while averaging around 3.0 kills per set while also adding pressure from the service line with 115 aces. With Houston Stellar she was awarded MVP and the Golden Jersey Award. Avery was also named an AVCA Winners Circle recipient and was named to the All-Tournament team at USAV Nationals.
Head Coach Debbie Humphreys said, "Avery is a true competitor who is an all-around VB player. She can pass, defend, score & block. We expect her to adjust quickly to the pace of Div 1 volleyball and have a tremendous career at SFA."
Erin Goodson: 5-8, Defensive Specialist
Erin currently attends Deer Park High School and plays club volleyball for Houston Stellar. She was also named to the First Team All-Greater Houston 6A, First Team All-District, Academic All-District, National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. Erin was also a team captain and was named District Defensive MVP. In her high school career, she recorded over 2,200 digs and averaged 4.8 digs per set while adding service line pressure with 133 career aces.
Coach Humphreys said, "Erin is a calm, high level VB player. Her ball control skills are extremely steady, which is exactly what you want in a libero. She leads with her actions and her consistent level of play. She loves to compete and we look forward to helping her take her game to the next level."
Aniston Collins: 5-10, Setter
Aniston currently attends Lutheran South Academy and plays club volleyball for Houston Skyline. She was named First Team All-District, Honorable Mention All-State, AVCA All-America Watch List, UTMB Athlete of the Week, and TAPPS 5A All-State Tournament Team. Aniston was a State Runner-Up TAPPS 5A and recorded 2,000 career assists and 300 career aces while also earning Academic All-state and being named to National Honor Society. Through her club team she earned Vype Houston Team of the Year and was named a First Team Preseason Selection.
Coach Humphreys said, "Aniston has the great hands that you want in a setter. She sets a consistent ball and loves to be challenged. Aniston has the court demeanor that makes her teammates want to follow her. She will adjust to our offense & style of play very quickly."
Weronika Urbanska: 6-0, Outside Hitter
Weronika currently attends Weatherford College where she has racked in the accolades. She was named AVCA All-American Third Team, NJCAA All-American 2nd Team, NTJCAC Player of the Year, NTJCAC Offensive Player of the Week, AVCA 2 Year College Players to watch list, NJCAA All-Academic 2nd Team. Weronika has recorded 277 kills while averaging 3.11 kills per set this season and has 14 matches with double-digit kills. Last year, she led the team with 489 kills, averaging 3.4 kills per set, second on the team with 392 digs and fifth on the team with 61 blocks.
Coach Humphreys said, "Roni has the experience that we were looking for in a 6 rotation OH. She knows how to work hard & she is extremely driven to succeed both on the court & in the classroom. She has been in a very successful program with high level coaching, and we expect her to adjust quickly to our system."

They are tremendous athletes who love to compete and are all high-level volleyball players who still have lots of room for growth. In addition to their on-court talent, they are quality human beings and strong students. Not only are we getting great players, but we are also getting amazing families. We are excited about the future of SFA Volleyball."
