One of the architects of SFA’s championship culture, Debbie Humphreys has gained a reputation as of one of the nation’s top NCAA Division I volleyball coaches through her 37 seasons in charge of the Ladyjacks. In that time, she has compiled a highly impressive record of 846-376. She reached the 800 win mark against Boise State on September 8th, 2023 which makes her one of two active Division I coaches who have reached that milestone, and the only active coach who have achieved this milestone at one institution. The 800 plus wins by Humphreys is currently the second most among active Division I coaches, and 20th all-time. Chris Poole (Florida State) is the only active coach ranked ahead of Humphreys in terms of wins.
