NACOGDOCHES, Texas. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks Basketball Team (16-8, 10-4) ends their lengthy stretch of road games as they kick-off a four-game home stand against the Seattle University Redhawks (3-21, 3-12) on Thursday evening at the Sawmill with tip-off scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CST.
Ladyjacks at a Glance:
The Ladyjacks return home with no shortage of confidence as they are coming off a come-from-behind victory against the ACU Wildcats that saw the Ladyjacks outscore ACU 34-15 in the fourth and erase multiple double-digit point deficits in the second half for a critical road conference win.
Kyla Deck's career day helped spark the Ladyjacks rally as she posted a new career-high of 34 points in a performance that saw her knock down 12 field goals and three triples, while showing off her versatility as she recorded four steals on the defensive end of the court. Deck's 34 points were tied for the second highest point total for a single player in a game this season for a WAC player. Due to her stellar performance, Deck was rightfully awarded WAC Player of the Week for the second time this season. Trinity Moore formed a nice duo with Deck as she recorded 13 points on 5-6 shooting from the field while blocking two shots defensively. Zoe Nelson posted a strong complimentary game as she dished out four assists, while pulling down a team-high nine boards. Destini Lombard, Kurstyn Harden, and Tyler McCliment-Call formed an efficient and effective trio for the 'Jacks as they combined for 20 points, seven rebounds, five assists, one block, and seven steals between the three.
The Ladyjacks returned to their strong ways defensively as they recorded double-digit steals for the 14th time this season while adding on four blocks to record 17 total turnovers faced and 27 points off turnovers. Meanwhile, the 'Jacks got a strong game from their bench thanks to 31 bench points, and recorded an impressive 50 points in the paint to help spark the late rally. More impressively, the Ladyjacks experienced a strong all-around day of shooting as they shot 57.1% from the field draining 32 field goals, shooting 50% from beyond the arc, and 82.6% from the foul line.
Kyla Deck and Destini Lombard have been defensive juggernauts this season for the Ladyjacks as they are both tied for 43rd in the nation in steals with 58 apiece. Deck's last big defensive game helped boost her to 22nd in the nation in steals per game as she averages 2.76 steals/game. Meanwhile, Lombard has risen to 40th in the nation in assist/turnover ratio as she sports a solid 2.28 assist/turnover ratio on the year. Kurstyn Harden has been a knock down shooter all season for SFA as she ranks 33rd in the nation in field goal percentage as she has shot 54.73% from the field for the season.

The Seattle Redhawks hit the road opening a three-game road trip in Nacogdoches following a short two-game home stand that saw them split the home stand with a win over Southern Utah before falling 89-75 to Utah Tech to close out the home stand. The Redhawks have won two of their last three games coming into the Pineywoods and will be looking to bounce back from their recent home loss.
Irena Korolenko led the scoring for Seattle against Utah Tech as she posted a team-high 20 points thanks to four triples, pulling down a team-leading five rebounds, and recording one block and steal.
