• Last week the 'Jacks busted out of a 10-game slump to start the season and won three out of four games. Those victories included two against Louisiana-Monroe in a home series with the Warhawks in which SFA outscored their foes from the Pelican State 30-27.

• This season, Martin leads the Southland Conference and ranks 72nd in the nation by averaging 1.57 hits per game. The freshman's eight doubles are the third-highest total among all Southland Conference players and his penchant for the extra-base hits has allowed his slugging percentage to rise to .759 - the best mark in the Southland and the 30th-highest in the nation.
