Mark Kellogg has continued the winning tradition of Ladyjack basketball during his seven years in Nacogdoches, and enters his eighth season in 2022-23 on the heels of a record-breaking 28-5 season, featured by a Western Athletic Conference regular season and tournament title, plus a trip to the NCAA Tournament, notching a 12-seed.
The 2021-2022 Ladyjacks ranked second in the WAC in FG% (44.2), third in FT% (70.3), second in assists per game (16.2), and second in steals per game (12.3). Four players were named to the All-WAC Team (Aiyana Johnson, Stephanie Visscher, Zya Nugent, and Brianna Mitchell) and Coach Kellogg won WAC Coach of Year.
Among Division I programs in the state of Texas, SFA ranks second behind Baylor in winning percentage (79.7) and total wins (122) over the past five seasons. SFA's 140 victories over Kellogg's tenure are marks SFA as the only SLC team to post five-straight 23+ win seasons. SFA is ranked tenth in overall winning percentage across all Division I programs and seventh in terms of number of victories.
