Lumberjacks Lose Series Finale Against SLU

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks (7-13, 2-7) lost the last game of their three-game series against the Southeastern Louisiana Lions (16-3, 6-0) this afternoon, 10-0.
This game started similar to the last two games, as neither team could score any runs in the first three innings. Lumberjacks starter Hayden Tronson did a good job of keeping the Lions bats quiet, throwing three scoreless innings to start the game.
The Lions broke it open in the fourth inning, scoring eight runs on eight hits with two home runs as SLU went ahead 8-0. The Lumberjacks offense could not do the same, as Lions starter Blake Lobell kept the 'Jacks off balance.
In the fifth, Jude Hall would hit his second homer of the game, extending the Lions lead to 9-0. SLU would tack on another in the top of the seventh to make the score 10-0.
Unfortunately, the 'Jacks couldn't produce any rally and the ten-run rule would go into effect. The Lions would win the game 10-0. Hayden Tronson (0-4) was the losing pitcher, while Blake Lobell (2-0) recorded the win.
