Katherine Holtman and Camryn Hill Named to All-Southland First Team

FRISCO, Texas- Sophomore pin, Katherine Holtman and senior outside hitter, Camryn Hill were named to the All-Southland First Team, the conference announced Wednesday morning.
Camryn Hill is a six-rotation outside who excels in offense and defense and played an essential role in SFA earning its 13th regular-season title. She is second on the team with 236 kills (2.38 per set) while hitting .232 on the season and recorded 153 kills (2.64 per set) while hitting .278 in conference play. Defensively, Hill is ranked second on the team with 333 digs (3.36 per set) and set a new career high of 34 digs against UIW. In conference play, Hill recorded 235 digs (4.05 per set). This season was her best kill per set and best dig per set of her career. Hill was named to the second SFA All-Tournament team this season.
The reigning SLC Freshman of the Year is an offensive powerhouse and was a key contributor to the 'Jacks' pursuit of their 13th regular-season title. Holtman leads the team with 283 kills (2.86 per set) and adds 159 kills (2.74 per set) in conference play. Her 283 kills rank seventh in the conference. She hit .308 for the season, placing her ninth in the conference, and hit .323 in conference play, also ninth. Holtman also tops the team with 33 service aces, tied for ninth in the conference. She has posted 18 matches with double-digit kills, including the first six matches of the season. Holtman passed 500 career kills in the match at McNeese and earned offensive player of the week honors after SFA's first home tournament. She was also named to the UTSA Invitational Outstanding Player List.

The Ladyjacks have secured the No. 1 seed in the Southland Conference Tournament and will face the host No. 8 seeded East Texas A&M in a quarterfinal matchup on Friday, November 21 at 7:00 p.m. This will be the tenth time SFA will enter the SLC Tournament as the No. 1 seed.
