
Lumberjacks Sign Seven during the 2026 Signing Day

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin softball program is excited to announce the signing of seven student-athletes.
Carmen Bivins: 6-1, Outfield
Carmen is from Missouri City, Texas and currently attends Thurgood Marshall High School. In 2024, she earned MLB Develops Chevy MVP, Bob Watson Invitational MVP, and Nike RBI World Series Winner. During the 2025 season, Carmen won the Nike RBI Homerun Derby. She also earned First Team All-District honors for the 5A Region 3 District 20 and earned Academic Excellence from 2022-25. Carmen intends to major in Sport Business.
Maddie Green: 5-8, Right-Handed Pitcher
Maddie Green is from Houston, Texas and currently attends Friendswood High School. She has accomplished many academic achievements throughout her high school career including certifications as a patient care technician and phlebotomist. On the field, Maddie is a four-year varsity player who earned Friendswood MVP two years in a row and won defensive MVP in 2025. She was also named District 5A First Team pitcher and Second Team All-Galveston County pitcher in 2024, and District 5A Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-Galveston County pitcher in 2025. Maddie continued her academic excellence with three appearances on the District 5A All-Academic Team in 2023, 2024, and 2025. She intends to major in Nursing.
Maddie Jovanovic: 5-4, Outfield
Maddie Jovanovic is from Fulshear, Texas and attends Jordan High School. She is a four-year varsity starter and team captain for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. Maddie was named to the AFCS 16u All-Tournament Team in 2025, First Team All-District in 2024 and 2025, Jordan High School Offensive Player of the Year. Academically, she was named to the Academic All-District team in 2023 and 2025. Maddie intends to major in business/finance.
Amelia Rziq: 5-10, Infield
Amelia is from St. Charles, Missouri and currently attends Francis Howell Central High School. She is the only player in school history to be named to the Missouri All-State team three times. Amelia is a four-time First Team All-District, All-Region, and All-Conference selection. She finished her high school as career leader in BA, RBI, HR, Runs, 2B, OBP, Slugging%, OPS, and BBs. Amelia tied the state record for the most home runs hit in a single game with four. She is Listed in Extra Innings as #46 power hitter in Midwest and 85 overall out of top 100. Amelia was also named to the All-Tournament team for Colorado IDT and was named MVP of Triple Crown National Bracket in St. Louis. She intends to major in communications.
Jaycee Rhoades: 5-7, Infield
Jaycee is from Scurry, Texas and currently attends Scurry-Rosser High School. She was named District 13-3A MVP and Offensive Player of the Year. Jaycee was also named First Team All-District Infielder. Academically, she is a member of National Honor Society and intends to major in education.
Delaney Rosser: 5-4, Infield
Delaney is from Aledo, Texas and currently attends Aledo High School. She earned her four-year varsity softball letter and is a two-time 5A D1 third place state finalist. In 2023 she earned Newcomer of the Year honors. Delaney is a two-time 5-5A First Team All-District and is a three-time 5-5A Academic All-District honoree as well as a National Honor Society member. She intends to major in Kinesiology at SFA.
Jordyn Simons: 5-10, Left-Handed Pitcher
Jordyn is from Anna, Texas and currently attends Anna High School. She is ranked fourth in her class and is a three-time Academic All-District selection. In the circle, Jordyn currently has 300 career strikeouts and is aiming for more this upcoming season. She intends to major in engineering/physics at SFA.
