
Broadcasters Castledine and Miller Receive Southland Conference Assignments For Upcoming SLC Volleyball Tournament

Brittany Castledine will serve as color commentator while Greg Miller will serve as interview correspondent.
NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Ladyjack Volleyball broadcasting duo of Brittany Castledine and Greg Miller with both be in Commerce, Texas this week after having received assignments at the upcoming 2025 Southland Conference Volleyball Tournament. Castledine, who just completed her eighth season as the 'Jacks color commentary voice on ESPN+, will handle all color duties for the tournament's seven matches alongside East Texas A&M play-by-play voice Greg Higgins. This will be Castledine's first conference tournament assignment.
"Brittany has represented SFA Volleyball as a stellar athlete and our community as a servant leader in so many ways. I am absolutely thrilled that she was tabbed for this assignment.", Miller said. Castledine, who played for the Ladyjacks from 2001-2004, was the Southland Conference Player of the year in her senior season and she still ranks seventh all time in kills, 10th all time in kills per set and fourth all time in total blocks in the 'Jacks record books. Miller added, "Having known Brittany since her playing days I can attest to the fact that she excels in everything she does. This assignment is just the natural evolution for someone who has elevated the quality of broadcasts here at SFA for years. She'll do the same for the conference." Castledine has previously served SFA as an Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning from 2006 to 2013 and additionally as an Adjunct Professor in the SFASU Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences from 2011 to 2017. More recently, she was a coach and then Assistant Principal in Central Heights ISD, where she started the volleyball program. She currently is the principal at Woden Elementary in Woden ISD, just south of Nacogdoches.
Miller, who has called six previous Southland Conference Tournaments, will represent the conference at this year's tournament as an interview correspondent. He'll conduct coach and player interviews throughout the weekend with those conversations being available through the Southland Conference website. Miller will also write all of the game recap stories which will be posted shortly after the conclusion of each match at the SLC Volleyball Tournament website. "Greg sees every quality of every player and does a great job highlighting every aspect of them as a person and their game, showcasing not just their athletic talent but also their character, passion and dedication to the sport.", Castledine said. Miller is an eleven year veteran of broadcasting college volleyball and also just completed his twelfth season covering the Ladyjacks on road matches via radio. He has called over 330 collegiate matches in his career, including 30 televised Southland Conference Tournament matches and four radio matches in the NCAA Division 1 Volleyball Tournament. Overall, he is competing his 20th year in service to Ladyjack Volleyball, having started in 2006 doing public address and then developing www.sfavolleyblog.net in 2009 before beginning his TV/radio work. Castledine added, "Greg is truly an asset to the game of volleyball. His love for the game and on-air personality brings unmatched energy and insight, making the sport more engaging and accessible for fans everywhere."
