
Former Ladyjack Women's Basketball Coach, the late Sue Donohoe, will be inducted into Women's Basketball Hall of Fame

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee --
Former Ladyjack assistant coach Sue Donohoe is set to be inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame tonight in Knoxville, Tennessee. She is among a staple class of inductees, alongside Debbie Brock (Veteran Player), Carol Callan (Contributor), Swin Cash (Player), Tamika Catchings, Lauren Jackson (International Player), David Stern (Posthumously, Contributor) and Carol Stiff (Contributor).
Donohoe made a tremendous impact on the game not only from a coaching standpoint, but at the administrative level. She was the Director of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship (2002-2003) and Director of the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship (1999-2002), in addition to serving as the Vice President of NCAA Division I Women's Basketball from 2003-2012. Donohoe was the recipient of the 2019 WBCA Lifetime Achievement Award, also receiving the Dave Dixon Award in 2017 as well.
Before joining the NCAA, Donohoe served as the assistant and later associate commissioner of the Southland Conference. Donohoe was most notably an assistant coach at SFA under Gary Blair during a period when the Ladyjacks ascended into a perennial power.
Prior to her retirement in 2015, she was the executive director of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, a position she held for four years.
Her start in athletics came as a graduate assistant women's basketball coach at Louisiana Tech in 1981.
The induction is set to be aired on ESPN3 at 5:00 p.m.
