NACOGDOCHES, Texas – After rainy conditions in Nacogdoches Tuesday and more rain and possible thunderstorms forecasted over the next 24 hours, the SFA softball team's midweek non-conference tilt with Prairie View A&M was pushed back to Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 4 p.m. However, due to extenuating circumstances the game has been postponed.
The game will be made up later this season but no makeup date has been scheduled at this time.
The Ladyjacks (11-5) were looking to remain perfect at home in 2019 and extend their home game win streak to four, which dates back last year, after shutting out both Louisiana-Monroe (4-0) and Texas Southern (8-0) in six innings at the SFA Softball Field the previous two Wednesdays. SFA will now set its sights on this weekend's Purple & Gold Challenge, held Friday-Sunday, March 1-3 at Tiger Park in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In addition to facing 10th-ranked and host LSU twice, the Ladyjacks will see 16th-ranked Indiana, Illinois State and USC Upstate across the three days in their final non-conference tournament of the season.
