Ladyjacks Set For Series At Northwestern State

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - After dropping a doubleheader Wednesday at No. 22 Baylor, the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack softball team returns to conference action this weekend when they travel to Natchitoches for a Friday-Saturday series against the Lady Demons.
Friday begins a stretch of six consecutive games on the road in which the Ladyjacks will play Northwestern State (Apr. 6-7), Houston Baptist (DH, Apr. 11), and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Apr. 13-14).
SFA (9-23, 2-6) currently sits ninth in the Southland Conference, two games behind sixth-place UTSA (13-19, 3-3).
On the flipside Northwestern State (13-23, 2-8) is in 10th place and have lost eight of their past 10 games entering play this weekend. The Lady Demons just recently lost both games of a doubleheader at Sam Houston State (4-3 and 9-1).
The Ladyjacks will finally return home April 16 when they host McNeese State in a makeup doubleheader at 2 p.m.
