The Stephen F. SFA dropped its first game of the season Friday evening against Michigan in the opening round of the Aggie Hotel Encanto Thanksgiving Classic in Las Cruces, N.M. The Ladyjacks returned to the floor the following evening and overcame some shooting woes to defeat SIU-Edwardsville, 68-66. Texas A&M has started the season with three consecutive wins, including an impressive victory over nationally ranked Duke in their season opener. The game against the Aggies is slated to tip off at 6 p.m. from Reed Arena.

The Ladyjacks lone win during that stretch was an 82-73 decision during the 1997-98 season. SFA dropped an 84-53 decision to Texas A&M during the 2007-08 season which was the last time the two teams played in College Station. The Aggies recorded the victory in the only meeting between the two schools last season in Nacogdoches.

It is the second time since Feb. 11-14, 2009, that Cormier has scored at least 20 points in back-to-back games.
Double-Double: Junior Toni Davis scored 10 points and pulled down a team-high 14 rebounds in the Ladyjacks win over SIU-Edwardsville. It is Davis' second career double-double, and her first since her freshman season.
Forcing the Situation: The Ladyjacks have played in four games and have forced their opponents into 109 turnovers on the season. SFA is forcing their foes into a conference-best 27.3 turnovers per game.

The Ladyjacks are currently tops in the league in free throw percentage (.767), three-point field-goal percent defense (.255), steals (13.3 pg) and turnover margin (+10.5).
Up Next ... The Ladyjacks will return to the court Sunday to host Texas Southern. The Tigers (1-4) are looking to end a three-game slide and are coming off a five-point setback at Nicholls last Sunday. The game against the Tigers will begin at 3 p.m. from the William R. Johnson Coliseum, and it will be the Ladyjacks final home appearance until Jan. 9th.
