Meet the Lumberjacks/Ladyjacks Set for Oct. 27

NACOGDOCHES - Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack and Ladyjack fans will have their first opportunity to meet the 2008-09 SFA basketball teams Monday, Oct. 27, at the annual Meet the Lumberjacks and Ladyjacks. The event will cost $10, and is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Pattillo Student Center Grand Ballroom.
The price of admission will include a meal. Following the meal Ladyjack head coach Lee Ann Riley, and Lumberjack head coach Danny Kaspar will introduce their coaching staffs and teams. Fans will also have an opportunity to get autographs of their favorite players following the event.
The tickets can be purchased at local banks, or from any Nacogdoches Rotary Club member. Tickets will also be sold at the door Monday evening. Meet the Lumberjacks and Ladyjacks is sponsored by the Nacogdoches Rotary Club.
There are high expectations for the men's and women's teams as they enter a unique 2008-09 season. After spending the past two seasons in the Southland Conference's West Division, SFA has rotated with Lamar and will compete in the league's East division for the next two years. Both the SFA men and women have been picked to finish first in the division according conference preseason polls.
