Wells Leaves Softball Team

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Jenifer Wells will not return as head coach of the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack softball team, SFA director of athletics Robert Hill announced Friday afternoon.
Wells' departure comes following a 2007 campaign that saw the Ladyjacks go 19-37 overall and 12-18 in Southland Conference play. The coach took over the SFA softball program prior to the 2006 season. During her two years in Nacogdoches, the Ladyjacks recorded a 39-65 (.375) overall record and turned in a 21-33 (.389) Southland Conference mark. SFA will immediately begin a national search for Wells' replacement.
