Heavy rains and wet field conditions forced SFA and Southeastern Louisiana to cancel the final two home games of the regular season Sunday afternoon, leaving SFA with a 22-27, 10-15 record. SFA lost to Southeastern Louisiana 3-1 Saturday evening and was trailing in the second game 4-1 when play was stopped in the top of the fourth inning.
The game was set to resume at 11 am Sunday morning but rain continued to fall leaving the field unplayable. The Nicholls State- Northwestern State series was also affected by rain and following the cancellation of the third game of that series it was no longer essential that the SLU-SFA series be completed.
SFA is scheduled to wrap up the season Wednesday afternoon, in Shreveport, La. against Centenary. Game one is set to begin at 4:00 p.m.
