
SFA Drops Both Ends Of Doubleheader

HUNTSVILLE, Texas -- The SFA softball team (5-9,0-2) dropped both ends of a Southland Conference doubleheader Saturday afternoon in Huntsville by scores of 3-1 and 4-3. The three game series concludes Sunday with a single game.
The 'Jacks scored one run on only two hits in the opener as pinch hitter Ashley Schlegel picked up SFA's only RBI in the fifth inning. Schlegel doubled home Crista Hargrove in the fifth inning to give the 'Jacks a 1-0 lead.
Sam Houston later countered with three runs in the bottom of the sixth for the win.
Crissy Autry (3-3) took the loss working six innings, giving up three earned runs on five hits, She struck out 12 and did not walk a batter.
