Softball Headed To Spring For Weekend Tourney

The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack softball team will travel to Spring this weekend to take part in the Spring / Klein College Classic. The fall season gives collegiate coaches a chance to evaluate newcomers to the program, as well as, get a gauge on the development of their overall programs.
The 'Jacks will play five games overall, three on Saturday and two on Sunday. SFA opens play Saturday at 12:30 p.m. against the University of North Texas. The 'Jacks will then take on Prairie View A&M at 4:00 p.m. Saturday and close out day one of the event with a 7:30 p.m. first pitch against Texarkana College.
Day two will see SFA take on UL-Lafayette at 10:45 Sunday morning. The Ragin' Cajuns appeared in the Women's College World Series last season. The 'Jacks will then close out play with an afternoon match-up against Alvin. That game is set to get underway at 4:00 p.m.
