The Ladyjack softball team swept the UT-Arlington Mavericks in a three game Southland Conference series over the weekend in Nacogdoches. SFA got strong pitching performances in all three games, and managed to come up with the big hit when they needed it in closing out the season with the sweep.
SFA won the first game of the series 6-3, behind seven strong innings from Cassie Hinton (2-2). Hinton allowed only two earned runs while scattering nine hits and striking out one. Angela Froboese and Kym Kling swung the big bats for SFA in the game as they combined to go five for seven with five RBIs and two runs scored.
