Softball Set to Open Home Slate Against PVAMU

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin softball team will begin their home slate against the Prairie View A&M Panthers.
TIME CHANGE
• This game has been moved up to a 3:00 p.m. first pitch instead of 5:00 p.m.

SCOUTING PVAMU
• PVAMU enters this matchup with a 3-5 record and are coming off a 2-1 loss to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
• Kearstin Tinsley leads the Panthers with a .563 batting average and is tied for the team lead with nine hits.
• Kayla Zaid and Dyani McKinley are tied with Tinsley for the team lead in hits. McKinley is also tied with Aryana Cruz for the team lead with four stolen bases.
• Mia Nunez is right behind them with eight hits and leads the team with three doubles and two triples.

DOMINANT LUMBERJACK DEBUT
• Crimson Bryant struck out 14 St. Bonaventure batters in six-inning effort.
• Bryant's 14 strikeouts are the most by a Lumberjack arm since Kassidy Wilbur sat down 14 Missouri State batters on February 19, 2022.
• She is second in the Southland conference with 31 strikeouts.
