
Templeton Shoves as Team Purple Takes Game 5, Series

Ibe and Henning both leave the yard for the second time in the series
NACOGDOCHES, Texas – It came down to the final game and Team Purple turned to a team captain in Cody Templeton who delivered the final blow to Team White which looked to complete the reverse sweep and claim the 2025 SFA baseball fall world series. Templeton dominated as Team Purple won 4-1 to cap off the Lumberjacks' fall schedule. The 'Jacks are back in action on February 13 in the first of a four-game home series with Mississippi Valley State to open up the '26 campaign. Game 5
Purple wins 4-1
Team Purple turned to its ace in Templeton, and he delivered to the tune of striking out ten of the 11 batters he faced to earn the win. He received help offensively as Josh Ibe and Mark Henning both homered as each did in the Game 2 victory. For the series, Team Purple banged out 28 hits and plated 22 runs. Team White scored 23 runs on 38 hits.
Game 4
White wins 6-5
Nate Vidlak extended the series to a winner-take-all Game 5 by tossing 5.1 innings with five strikeouts and Team White used a 2-for-3 effort and four RBI from Mason Poppen to win 6-5. Both sides were perfect in the field, while Team White recorded eight hits and Team Purple delivered seven.
Game 3
White wins 11-5
Team White has outhit Team Purple 28-15 and on Thursday night it translated into runs as the former plated 11 on a dozen knocks including four from Julian Swift who left the yard twice. Team White distanced itself in the sixth with a five-run frame to back Adrian Rubio's effort on the bump as he matched Swift's six RBI with six strikeouts.
Game 2
Purple wins 3-1
For the second straight game, Team White outhit Team Purple, but the latter used the big fly once again as they took a 2-0 series lead. Blane Zeplin claimed the win on the mound, while teammates Ibe and Henning each homered. Reid Bowyer suffered the loss for Team White.
Game 1
Purple wins 5-4
Team Purple plated four runs in the top of the seventh inning to take a 5-2 lead, but Team White rallied with two runs in the bottom half to nearly force extra innings in the scheduled seven-inning affair. Brennen Greer earned the W for Team Purple, with Nate Bergeron suffering the loss. Juan Cantua left the yard in the win. Team White outhit Purple 8-4 in the series opener.
