NACOGDOCHES, Texas --
The Ladyjack women's basketball program welcomes Tyler McCliment-Call to Nacogdoches for the 2021-22 season, the coaching staff announced Thursday morning. McCliment-Call, a 6'0" guard/forward, played one collegiate season at the University of Portland out of the West Coast Conference. She averaged 2.4 points per game in 9.4 minutes per contest during her freshman campaign.
"We are thrilled to add Tyler and think she will fit perfectly in our program," said Head Coach Mark Kellogg. Tyler is a versatile guard/forward that has a tremendous mid-range game, but can also get to the rim and shoot the three. She has a great motor, is a competitor on both ends of the court and can really rebound the ball. Tyler's size and strength will allow her to defend multiple positions. Tyler will definitely make an impact on our Ladyjack program."
At Portland, McCliment-Call's most notable performance took place against Northwest University, where she notched 10 points (5-10 FG) and six rebounds in 26 minutes of action. She will bring fresh experience to the team in the minutes-played department, as she earned 12 games of double-digit minutes. McCliment-Call showed rebounding ability at the collegiate level as well, pulling down 19 offensive rebounds and 22 defensive rebounds across 25 games.
Prior to her collegiate career, McCliment-Call helped her high school team to a 2018 5A Idaho State Championship, receiving MVP honors after averaging 23 points on 57 percent shooting with 7.7 rebounds per game. She landed a spot on the All-Greater Spokane League First Team as a senior at University High School in Spokane, Washington.
