FRISCO, Texas -- Ladyjack softball pitcher Kassidy Wilbur has been named the Southland Conference Pitcher of the Week for the fourth time this spring, per a release from the conference office on Tuesday. The Bridge City, Texas native continued her dominant 2021 campaign over the weekend, racking up two more complete game victories over second-place UCA to help SFA win it's seventh consecutive league series and lower its magic number to clinch the regular-season title outright to just two games.
Wilbur locked up her fourth Pitcher of the Week honor of the season after lifting the Ladyjacks to a pair of wins against Central Arkansas last weekend. She blanked the Bears in both of her appearances, limiting UCA to a .102 batting average. Both of her shutouts came in complete-game fashion as she also rang up 18 batters over 14 innings of work to improve to a 25-3 record on the season. She owns a 25-3 record on the season on the season thanks to win in her past 14 decisions, and has struck out 223 batters on the season.
