RHP Jeremy Rodriguez Named Southland Conference Second Teamer

FRISCO, Texas --
The Southland Conference announced its Preseason All-Conference teams Wednesday morning, and Senior Right-Handed Pitcher Jeremy Rodriguez was listed on the Second Team for the Lumberjacks.
Rodriguez appeared in four games for the Lumberjacks in his first yet short 2019-20 season, featuring a 2.7 ERA in addition to a 1.6 WHIP. Prior to starting his career at SFA, Rodriguez played two years at Angelina College. In his most recent full season, he made 13 appearances for the Roadrunners, and logged 16 innings. He posted a record of 1-1 with a save.
"Jeremy is a perfect example of how we want our pitchers to pitch," says Head Coach Johnny Cardenas. He throws multiple pitches for strikes, keeps the hitters off balance and challenges every hitter he faces. His ability to compete separates him often times from most opponents."
The Lumberjacks will open up the 2020-21 campaign on February 19th against Central Michigan at home. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
