NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- The Ladyjacks will welcome Jordan Harrison and Kyla Deck to Nacogdoches next season to complete this year's class. Head Coach Mark Kellogg and staff are looking forward to the dynamic and versatile pair to join the program.
"We are thrilled to add both Jordan and Kyla," said Head Coach Mark Kellogg. I think they will be a fantastic backcourt for many years to come in an SFA uniform!"
Jordan Harrison
Harrison attends the Classen School of Advanced Studies in Oklahoma City where she plays point guard for the Comets. She has a decorated high school career thus far, which includes: MVP of Arkansas TOC, All-Tournament team in PCI, All-Sapulpa Tournament Team, All-Moore Tournament, All-Jenks/Union Tournament Team and Pink & White Classic.
"Jordan is a dynamic point guard that can control the game on both ends of the court," said Head Coach Mark Kellogg. "Her ball handling, court vision and ability to score the ball make Jordan a complete offensive player."
She currently holds the record for most assists (266) and steals (213) at Classen, averaging 9.8 points per game, 2.7 rebounds per game, 3.0 steals per game and 3.8 assists per game. Her most notable performance was a 30 point, five assist and three rebound outing.
"Defensively, she is a relentless on the ball defender and will wreak havoc on opposing teams," Coach Kellogg adds. "We have enjoyed getting to know Jordan and her family over the past couple of years and she will fit perfectly into our program."
Kyla Deck
Deck hails from Frisco, Texas as she is a four-year starter at Lone Star High School in the point guard position. Entering her senior season, she has compiled career totals of 1,019 points, 454 rebounds, 193 assists and 216 steals.
"Kyla is a versatile and strong guard that can play multiple positions at a high level," said Head Coach Mark Kellogg. She can really score the ball from all three levels. She is an aggressive driver that really knows how to use body well.
She is a three-time All-District, TGCA All-Region & All-State and TABC All-Region & TABC All-State selection for Lone Star High School. In 2019, Deck led her team to a Co-District Championship and a District Championship in 2021.
"She has a nice mid-range game and the ability to shoot it consistently from three," said Head Coach Mark Kellogg. "Kyla can also really guard on and off the ball and will fit in nicely with our defensive schemes. Kyla will bring a toughness and grit to our program."
