Ladyjack Academic Shootout Set for March 6

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The annual Ladyjack Academic Shootout has been scheduled for March 6 when Stephen F. Austin takes on Oral Roberts at 6 p.m.
This event raises funds through the Purple Pride Fast Break Booster Club to help fun scholarships for Ladyjacks’ summer school classes and fifth-year senior scholarships.
Fans can sign up to participate in the Ladyjacks Academic Shootout at the front gate of William R. Johnson Coliseum where they can make pledges for a specific dollar amount or pledge to pay on a per point scored during the game basis.
The Ladyjacks are currently 10-7 on the year and 4-1 in Southland Conference play while tied for first place.
Last year’s Ladyjack Academic Shootout raised more than $13,000, and the Nacogdoches Rotary Club also sponsors the event and contributed $2,500 toward the cause last season.
