Ladyjacks To Take On Lamar On Wednesday

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Ladyjack basketball team will take its two-game win streak into Beaumont on Wednesday when it takes on second-place Lamar in a 7:00 p.m. clash at the Montagne Center.
SFA (10-15, 7-5 SLC) had dropped to 5-5 in the league after a three-game losing streak that came to an end last week when it knocked off both UT-Arlington and Texas State in a pair of home games. The Cardinals (21-5, 10-2 SLC) are riding high, having won their last five consests and are just a game behind first-place McNeese State with just four games remaining in league play.
The game can be heard live on Q107.7 FM with Ben Rikard on the call from Beaumont.
SFA has a decided advantage in the all-time series with the Cardinals, having won 40 of 48 games in the series; however, the Cards have won six of the last seven meetings dating back to 2007.
The Ladyjacks are led by reigning SLC Player of the Week Tammara Marion, who is fifth in the SLC in scoring at 15.6 points per game after a 25-point outing in Saturday's 96-50 blowout of Texas State.
SFA will next be at home on Saturday for a 6:00 p.m. matchup with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
