NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin men's and women's basketball teams will be sponsoring the Samaritan's Feet project Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009 at the William R. Johnson Coliseum. Fans will receive free admission to the SFA doubleheader with the donation of a brand new pair of children's tennis shoes.
Samaritan's Feet is a non-profit organization founded in 2003 by Emmanuel and Tracie Ohonme. It was created with the purpose of sharing hope with those in need by washing their feet, providing them with a new pair of shoes and helping them believe that dreams can come true. Samaritan's Feet has collected more than two million pairs of shoes to date.
The Ladyjacks will host Rice at 4:30 p.m. in the William R. Johnson Coliseum, while the SFA men will follow with a 7 p.m. game against Jackson State.
