NACOGDOCHES - Members of the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack basketball and softball teams spent Wednesday at the Boys and Girls' Club carving pumpkins with local area youth. The event has become an annual tradition for head coach Lee Ann Riley's troops. Approximately 120 children turned out to spend time with their favorite athletes.
The Ladyjacks will be back in action Monday evening when they host St. Mary's (TX) in their final exhibition of the 2008-09 season. The game is slated to begin at 6 p.m. from the William R. Johnson Coliseum.
The Ladyjacks open the 2008-09 regular season Friday, Nov. 14, against Prairie View A&M. The game against Lady Panthers is slated to begin at 6 p.m. from the William Nicks Building.
