
Ladyjacks Face Southern Illinois Thursday

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks will take their 21-11 (.656) record on the road as they open the WNIT at Southern Illinois Thursday. The game against the Salukis is slated to begin at 7:05 p.m. in Carbondale, Ill.
The Ladyjacks are the 2007 Southland Conference runner-up and enter the WNIT having won 7 of their last 10 games. Southern Illinois won the 2007 Missouri Valley Conference title after going 20-10 during the regular season. The Salukis enter the postseason having won 8 of their last nine games, but had an eight-game win streak snapped by Drake in the first round of the MVC tournament.
Should the Ladyjacks get by Southern Illinois, they will travel to Manhattan, Kan., for a game against the Wildcats. Kansas State finished the season with a 16-14 (.533) overall record.
