
Egenti Receives Weekly Conference Honor

FRISCO, Texas - Senior Charity Egenti has been named Southland Conference Player of the Week announced league officials Monday afternoon. It marks the second time this season that a Ladyjack has received the award, and the first time in Egenti's career that she has earned the honor.
Egenti posted career performances in the Ladyjacks' two games last week recording two double-doubles. She led the Ladyjacks to an 11-point victory over Tulsa with her career-high 21 points and 10 rebounds. Egenti followed that up with 21 points and a career-high 13 rebounds in the victory over North Texas. Egenti averaged 21 points, 11.5 rebounds, 4.0 steals, 1.5 blocks and 1.0 assists per game.
The Ladyjacks return to action Saturday when they travel to Lorman, Miss., to face Alcorn State. The game against the Lady Braves is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
