
Ladyjacks Face Massachusetts

TAMPA, Fla. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack basketball will be in Tampa, Fla., Saturday to take on Massachusetts in the first round of the Best Western Roundball Classic hosted by South Florida. The Ladyjacks enter the game 2-2 (.500) on the season after suffering a disappointing loss to SMU at home Monday night. UMass enters the tournament 4-0 on the season. Saturday's game is slated to tip off at noon (11 a.m. Nacogdoches time) from the Sun Dome in Tampa. The Ladyjacks will face either tournament-host South Florida or St. Francis (NY) Sunday.
SFA vs. the Minutewomen: The Ladyjacks have never faced Massachusetts on the basketball court prior to Saturday's game.
POTW: Senior Evelyn Edwards is coming off one of the best two-game performances of her career. After scoring eight points and nine rebounds in the upset over Louisiana Tech, she came right back to lead SFA with a career-high 18 points and 13 rebounds against SMU. She was named Southland Conference Player of the Week for her performance.
Up Next ... Following the South Florida Best Western Roundball Classic, the Ladyjacks will return home to host Centenary on Dec. 2nd. The game against the Ladies is slated to begin at 6 p.m. from the William R. Johnson Coliseum.
