
Brian Ross Named SFA Assistant SID

NACOGDOCHES - Brian Ross has been named Stephen F. Austin assistant sports information director and Adelaida Sanchez has been named sports information graduate assistant announced SID James Dixon Wednesday morning.
Ross is a familiar name to local sports fans having spent the past three years as a sports writer for The Daily Sentinel. Ross covered the Nacogdoches Dragons football team, Ladyjack basketball as well as other area sports for the paper.
Prior to joining The Daily Sentinel, Ross spent two seasons as a student assistant in the SFA sports information office. During that time Ross handled Ladyjack softball as well as assisting with Lumberjack football and basketball.
Ross graduated from SFA this past year with a bachelor's degree in journalism.
Sanchez joins the SFA sports information office as a graduate assistant after spending the past two seasons as an intern at Texas A&M-Kingsville. During her time with the Javelinas she handled baseball and men's and women's cross country. Sanchez spent the past season as an intern with the Corpus Christi Rayz of the Central Hockey League.
Sanchez graduated from Kingsville this past year with a bachelor's in journalism. She will handle media relations for Ladyjack volleyball, softball and tennis.
