SFA Wins Game Three of Series, 7-2

SFA managed to salvage game three of a Southland Conference series with UT-San Antonio Sunday afternoon with a 7-2 win over the Roadrunners. The win moves SFA to 17-15, 6-6 0n the year.
Three SFA pitchers combined to scatter eight hits, but allow only two runs as they pitched out of trouble with solid defense behind them.
Crissy Autry started and worked only one inning after giving up a run on three hits in the top of the first inning. Nicole Carter came on in relief of Autry and worked two innings, giving up a run on two hits while striking out two.
Devin Cobb then came on in the fourth inning and went the rest of the way, not allowing a run on three hits in four innings of work. Carter (4-4) picked up the win for SFA with Cobb getting credit for the save, her second of the year.
After being held in check Saturday, the 'Jacks offense came to life, scoring seven runs on 11 hits against Rodrunner pitching. Jaime Brown led the way with aa 2-2 afternoon with two runs scored and an RBI. Crista Hargrove also picked up a pair of RBIs on a 3-4 afternoon. Hargrove had two doubles on the day. Devin Cobb was also 2-4 with two doubles.
The 'Jacks are back in action Tuesday afternoon with a non-conference doubleheader at Baylor starting at 5:00 p.m.
