
Ladyjack Earns SLC Honor

PLANO, Texas - Stephen F. Austin junior Crissy Autry was named Southland Conference pitcher of the week announced league officials Wednesday. It is the first honor for SFA this season.
Autry recorded a 2-1 record at the LSU Tiger Classic where SFA recorded wins over Baylor and No. 7-ranked LSU. Autry pitched 15.1 innings in the tournament, allowing 17 hits and recorded eight strikeouts. In the three games, Autry allowed only two earned runs, while shutting out the nationally ranked Tigers, 1-0. She finished the tournament with a 0.93 earned run average in the three games.
Freshman Crista Hargrove earned league honor roll honors for her 6-for-15 (.400) performance at the LSU Tiger Classic. She also recorded two walks and scored a run. She currently leads the team with her .345 batting average.
SFA returns to action Friday in the UH Tournament in Houston, Texas. The 'Jacks will take on Pittsburgh at 11 a.m. SFA will return to the field for a 1 p.m., showdown with Northern Iowa. SFA will take on tournament-host Houston Saturday at 1 p.m., and then return to the field for a 7 p.m., game against Texas Southern.
