NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack basketball team completed its staff with the hiring of Tiffany Moore, announced head coach Lee Ann Riley Wednesday afternoon. Moore fills the position vacated by Brandi Daily due to Daily's promotion within the program.
Moore has spent the past two seasons as an integral part of the Southern Nazarene basketball program, guiding SNU to NAIA National runner-up finish this past season.
"Tiffany brings a knowledge of the game from being a successful player at Southern Nazarene University," said Riley. "I'm excited because she played for me (at Tyler Junior College) and there is a comfort zone knowing what she is capable of and what she brings to this team. She guided her Southern Nazarene team to the NAIA Championship game so she is used to winning, which is something she will be able to carry over to our team. That is a huge asset for us."
Prior to her time in Bethany, Okla., she was a two-year letterwinner at Tyler Junior College under Riley. During her two seasons in Tyler, she was a two-time all-conference and all-region selection as well as earning second-team All-America honors in 1997. Moore's teams went a combined 44-18 (.710 winning percentage) during her two seasons.
The Ladyjacks open the 2002-03 season Saturday Nov. 23rd, at Arkansas. The tip-off time for the game has yet to be determined.
