Ladyjack Earns League Honor

PLANO, Texas - Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack senior Latisha Prater (Cottonport, La.) was named Southland Conference Player of the Week announced the league Tuesday.
Prater helped the Ladyjacks extend their winning streak to 11 games with victories over Sam Houston State and Lamar. She recorded back-to-back doubles scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds in an 83-70 win over the Ladykats. Prater followed that up with a 13-point, 12-rebound performance two nights later in the Ladyjacks 80-46 win over Lamar. It was her fifth and sixth double-double of the season and the eighth of her career. Prater also added nine assists, seven steals and four blocks in the two games. It is her first league player of the week honor this season.
The Ladyjacks return to action Saturday against Louisiana-Monroe. The game is slated for a 6:15 p.m., tipoff from the William R. Johnson Coliseum.
