NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack basketball team had to come from behind to beat Texas-San Antonio Saturday afternoon, 58-44, at the William R. Johnson Coliseum. The Ladyjacks are now 5-4 overall and more importantly 2-0 in the Southland Conference.
The first-half was a back-and-forth affair that saw four lead changes and six ties. The Ladyjacks went into the intermission trailing the Roadrunners, 26-24, despite forcing 13 first-half turnovers. The Roadrunners Latifa Northern led UTSA with her nine points, three assists and two steals in the first half. Northern finished the game with a team-high 15 points.
