2016 (Freshman): Showed flashes of power at the plate in his first season as a collegian...Appeared in 26 of the 'Jacks' 60 games and made 10 starts...Produced a slash line of .333/.379/.444...Finished with 14 hits, two walks, five runs, and nine RBI against 15 strikeouts...Made his SFA debut at UT Arlington where he struck for his first career hit as part of a 1-for-2 performance at the dish (2/21)...Produced quite the splash in his home debut, launching a pinch-hit, walk-off three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth to propel SFA to a 13-11 comeback win over non-conference foe Sacred Heart (2/27)...Promoted to the starting lineup for the first time in a 14-7 non-conference win at New Mexico State where he finished 1-for-2 (3/5)...Enjoyed his first of two multi-hit games in an 8-2 home win over Southland Conference adversary McNeese where he went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a double (5/6).

Before SFA: Improved immensely as the years went by through his four-year prep stint as a letterwinner and starter for head coach Greg Harvey at Rockwall Heath HS...excelled at three positions - first base, designated hitter and pitcher - during his high school days...claimed All-District DH laurels following his sophomore campaign...secured All-District and All-Area Pitcher accolades on the heels of his junior season...collected a Third Team All-State citation on the strength of his pitching, too...also hauled in All-Area First Base and All-District MVP awards as a senior...also lettered twice in football as a linebacker and a kicker for head coach Mickey Moss.

Personal: Son of Ron and Karen Pinkston...born in Dallas, Texas...brother, Trevor, was a four-year placekicker for the Arkansas Tech football team...will major in sports business.
