Ladyjacks Set to Face No. 6 Seeded TCU Horned Frogs

This is SFA’s 10th NCAA Tournament appearance and their fifth in the past eight seasons.
NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin volleyball program will begin their NCAA Tournament run against the No. 6 seeded TCU Horned Frogs.
WHERE TO TUNE IN
• This match will be broadcasted on ESPN+ with Casey Richardson and Chelsea Reber on the call.

LAST TIME OUT
• SFA secured their seventh SLC Tournament Championship; their 20th overall SLC Title.
• The Ladyjacks will head to their fifth NCAA Tournament in the last eight seasons.
• SFA's senior class of Jayden Flynn, Camryn Hill and Izabella Ortiz earn their 102nd career win, their fourth conference title and are headed to their third NCAA Tournament Appearance.
• SFA moves to 19-2 against UTRGV in their series history.
• de Assis led the offensive charge for the 'Jacks and was the only player on the court to record double-digit kills with 15.
• Katherine Holtman recorded nine kills and tied the team lead with two aces.
• Jayden Flynn led the SFA offense with 20 assists, followed by 16 from Zoe Gun.
• While Holtman and de Assis led the team with two aces each, Flynn's one ace officially moved her into sixth in career aces in SFA history.
• Caroline Kahle held the backline with 15 digs, followed by Hill with 11.
• Kyanna Creecy led the SFA block with three, while Jordan Henderson recorded her 100th block of the season.
SCOUTING TCU
• TCU enters this match with a 20-10 overall record and a 10-8 record in Big 12 play. The Horned Frogs have six top 25 wins this season including an early win against the defending national champions, Penn State.
• The Horned Frogs are led by the scoring duo of Evan Hendrix and Becca Kelley who have a total of 837 kills with 498 and 339 respectively. Hendrix is 16th nationally in total kills.
• Ella Foti and Rosemary Archer run the TCU offense with 628 and 558 assists respectively.
• Four of the Horned Frogs have over 20 aces led by Lauren Murphy with 28.
• Alice Volpe holds down the back line with 442 digs this season followed by Hendrix with 321.
• Senior Sarah Sylvester leads the TCU block with 145 this season followed by Lauren Murphy with 87. Sylvester is 44th in the nation in blocks per set at 1.28 and 25th in total blocks.

• This will be the eighth All-Time matchup between the Ladyjacks and the Horned Frogs.
• TCU leads the series 4-3 and won the most recent match 3-1 on September 13, 2013.
• SFA's last win was 3-1 on September 13, 2002.
• This will be the first NCAA Tournament match between these two programs.
OH HOW SWEEP IT IS
• The Ladyjacks swept their way to their 7th SLC Tournament Championship and have won 18 consecutive sets leading up to the NCAA First Round match.
• The 2025 SLC Tournament had all matches finish in sweeps which is the first time that has happened since 1988.
• Overall, the 'Jacks have 15 sweeps on the year.
SUSTAINED SUCCESS
• SFA's senior class of Camryn Hill, Izabella Ortiz, and Jayden Flynn have a 102-26 overall record, a 56-6 conference record, a WAC Tournament and Regular Season Championship, a SLC Regular Season Championship, a SLC Tournament Championship, three NCAA Tournament berths with one being the first At-Large bid in program history, and an NIVC Second Round Appearance.
• This is Head Coach Debbie Humphrey's 10th NCAA Tournament Appearance at SFA with five of them in the past eight seasons.
