
Ladyjacks Chase 13th Southland Regular Season Championship with a Home-and-Home against Lamar

SFA will play in Beaumont on Thursday before capping off the 2025 regular season at home for Senior Day on Saturday.
NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin volleyball program will finish off the 2025 regular season with a home-and-home against the Lamar Cardinals. The 'Jacks will be in Beaumont on Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. before heading back to Nacogdoches to host the Cardinals on Saturday afternoon at 12:00 p.m. for Senior Day.
WHERE TO TUNE IN
• Both matches will be broadcasted on ESPN+.
• Greg Miller will be on the radio call Thursday night in Beaumont.
• Miller will be on the ESPN+ call Saturday afternoon with Brittany Castledine.
WHAT'S AT STAKE
• An SFA win and a UTRGV loss (Thursday or Saturday) will clinch at least a share of the regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament.
• If SFA and UTRGV win out or both teams go 1-1 this week, both teams will share the regular season title. SFA beat UTRGV head-to-head so the tiebreaker goes to the 'Jacks for the No. 1 seed.
• A UTRGV win and an SFA loss (Thursday or Saturday) will mean that the Vaqueros win at least a share of the regular season title and the No. 1 seed. The 'Jacks would clinch the No. 2 seed.
LAST TIME OUT
• SFA sweeps the season series against SLU and moves to 41-10 all-time.
• Camryn Hill led the team in kills with 16 and digs with 21 for her sixth double-double.
• Ilana de Assis lit a fire in the SFA offense as she recorded 14 kills and 14 digs for her team leading seventh double-double.
• Izabella Ortiz and Katherine Holtman each recorded 10 kills.
• Jayden Flynn ran the SFA offense with 38 assists for a new season high and was two shy of her career high.
• Kyanna Creecy led the net presence with four blocks followed by de Assis and Jordan Henderson with three each.
• Caroline Kahle joined Hill by recording 20 digs.
SCOUTING LAMAR
• Lamar enters this week with a 17-12 overall record and is tied with SLU and UIW for third in the conference standings at 10-4.
• The Cardinals are led by sophomore outside hitter Maja Malinowska who leads the conference with 390 kills while averaging 3.98 kills per set.
• Alexa Gonzalez runs the Lamar offense with 885 assists and averaged 7.90 per set which ranks her fifth in the conference in assist per set and third in total assists.
• Gonzalez also leads the Cards with 41 aces, she is third in the conference in total aces.
• Freshman libero, Gabby Baker holds down the backline for the Cardinals with 563 digs.
• Redshirt Freshman Daniella Udegbunam leads the team with 122 blocks on the season including 37 solo stuffs which leads the conference.
